The project continues to make good progress. All the structural work ordered by the City has been completed. However, the City has requested additional work around the sliding glass door frames. This has required our contractor to submit additional change orders to cover the requested work which in turn, has added additional cost to the project. The board is currently reviewing the proposed additional work and work should resume on the project shortly.
Oh the glamour and perks of being a board member. Here’s a picture of one of our board members inspecting the work on the Northwest Balcony Project.

The city inspected the balcony project two weeks ago and determined that all the work accomplished thus far is in accordance with the required codes and specifications. They noted however, that the door pants that are under the aluminum door frames that protect the units from water intrusion, are badly corroded and/or are nonexistent. They therefore, have now required that the three balcony door pants be replaced. The board is currently in the process of evaluating the contractor's proposal to accomplish this as well as looking at the financial ramifications.
