Alma devotes most of her time to the organization, visiting families and providing food and medical supplies to people in need. The mission of the organization includes preventing the spread of HIV and AIDS through outreach programs as well as providing quality services to enhance the life of HIV and AIDS victims.
As with most small charitable organizations, the economy has had the effect of reducing the amount of monetary and material donations. Although Friends without Barriers collaborates with the South Bay Family Healthcare and UCLA Medical Center and has three grant proposals that are pending, the financial future of the organization is, nevertheless, uncertain.
If you’d like to help Alma and the organization, you may contact them at 310-316-7074 or online at http://www.amigosonline.org .
